I've finally done it.

Truthfully, I have never wanted a blog. I have kept a written journal from the time I was 8 years old. I remember buying it at Coach House Gifts with my own money. It came with a lock and 2 keys. I just remember looking at that journal- I was so excited. I guess I knew that this was something that I needed. The idea of writing down my life so that it is never forgotten has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. In that turquoise and pink journal with the lock, I knew that I was going to write things that were very important to me on that day, but that would prove to be invaluable later on. I have had a journal ever since. They are on my bookcase right now- blank books filled with my handwriting that flow from my awkwardness in middle school, all the way to my present life as a mother of 3 and wife to my high school sweet heart. The journey is recorded in those books on the shelf. I love the romance of taking a pen and writing my thoughts on paper. I have always resisted keeping an electronic journal, but I also recognize that the entries in my hand-written journals have become very sparse since life has become so busy in the years since I've become a mother. However, the moments that make up my life these days are the ones I especially don't want to let go of. And with that... welcome to my blog. :)
